Applicant Responsibilities

Following application approval, ASNT Certification Services LLC will issue the applicant a Letter of Approval to test (computer-based or practical exams). The Letter of Approval is valid for one (1) year from the date on the letter, and the examination must be taken within one (1) year. Failure to do so will require the applicant to submit a new application for approval and re-apply for the examination(s).

Upon receiving the Letter of Approval, applicants are strongly advised to schedule exams as soon as possible to ensure test center availability, to allow time for adjustments, and to complete the application process.

Applicants who are contacted for additional information regarding their application and fail to provide it within one (1) year from the submission date will forfeit all fees and must submit a new application.

Applicants renewing by exam must complete all required examinations prior to the certification expiration date

Refunds

Refunds will not be issued for any reason, including but not limited to:
Failure to show (“No Show”) for any scheduled examination will result in forfeiture of all fees for the missed examination. Examination attendance will NOT be permitted unless all fees are paid.

Exam Appointment

Computer-based testing: the applicant can modify an exam appointment date/time no less than 48 hours prior to the appointment without additional fees. To modify an exam appointment, log in to the MyCert portal or call Pearson VUE no less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment date/time. Appointments cannot be modified less than 48 hours before a scheduled exam. Modifying an appointment less than 48 hours before a scheduled exam will result in a “No Show” status and forfeiture of all fees.

Practical exams: the applicant can modify an exam appointment up to two (2) calendar weeks prior to the scheduled appointment date/time. To modify an exam appointment, contact ASNT India. Modifying an appointment less than two (2) weeks before a scheduled exam appointment will result in forfeiture of all fees.
